Photo Fun Safaris was created by a retired health education teacher who spent his career encouraging people of all ages to get out of the house and increase their physical activity, especially walking. In addition to promoting healthy lifestyles, he also promoted animal welfare issues. He combined the activities of going to the zoo, taking pictures of animals, completing collections and friendly competition to create an app that keeps people active while playing. Then, drawing on his decades of experience teaching, he added an educational component to the app: Animal Fun Facts are included for each animal in all the Safaris.
